It doesn’t matter whether I’m playing with a scratch golfer or someone just picking up a club for the first time; the joy isn’t in the score—it’s in the shared experience, the camaraderie, and the moments that make golf so much more than just a sport.
 

There’s a saying I’ve always loved: "A bad day of golf is better than a good day at work." It’s a simple truth that resonates deeply within the golf community. The highs and lows of a round of golf are unmatched. One moment, you’re soaring high after a perfect drive, and the next, you’re humbled by a missed putt. It was during one of these rounds that the idea for Bogey Drinks came to life. I was on a par 4, a hole just over 300 yards, and I hit one of those drives that makes you feel like you own the course. The ball sailed straight down the fairway, and I felt like I was on top of the world. But golf has a way of keeping you humble. My second shot found its way into a sand trap, and though I managed to get it onto the green, it was as far from the hole as possible. 
 

As any golfer will tell you, putting is both an art and a gamble. I confidently approached the ball, but as fate would have it, I three-putted, walking away with a bogey. As I stood there, a mix of frustration and acceptance washed over me. I found myself saying, “Nothing wrong with bogey golf, Josh,” and in that moment, Bogey Drinks was born.
